Dressage At the Tinneys

CAROLINE TWOMEY (nee Hooper) Caroline was born in Sydney, Australia and started riding at the age of 12 years old. Supported by her father, she bought her first horse Zia, and commenced many years of dressage training with both local and international trainers.

By the time she was 18 years old the duo were competing at Grand Prix level and enjoyed enormous success for many years winning many State and National titles and receiving a COC for the Seoul Olympic Games. Following a short break from her riding career, she bought Northern Tresco 11 and again produced the horse to Grand Prix Level with continued success. Caroline has been training horses professionally since leaving school, and has won over 30 AAA class show ring championships! She now lives in Cambridge, New Zealand with John and is extremely busy travelling the country, coaching Nationally. She is a High Performance Coach with the Academy Of Sport NZ and is also instrumental in producing the string of top class "Team Twomey" horses.
